Skin performs a variety of functions in the body and it must be well taken care of to keep it's good work. Although there are numerous skin care products on the market that promise to give you smooth and flawless skin, not only are they expensive most of them also have harsh ingredients that can bring harm your skin.

Here are unique natural ways to keep your skin smooth and healthy

1.Reduce sunlight exposure
You've probably heard it more than a million times to stay out of the ultraviolet ray of sunlight as it may be a good cause of skin diseases like:
Skin discoloration
Skin dryness
Skin cancer
Wrinkles
Frackles
In protecting your self from these you should cover up your self when going out. It’s really about protection, that means wearing hats and protective sun clothings like long sleeves, trousers(pants) or long skirts and umbrella give you more coverage.

2.Stay hydrated

Also try to eat fruits and vegetables that are high in liquid content like: tomatoes, melon, paw paw, water melon.

In case of skin dryness use the right moisturizing cream or lotion for your skin. Look for moisturizers with hyaluronic acid, ceramides, or coconut oil.

3.Lemon
Lemon juice can be used to cleanse your skin, lighten spots and scars, as well as soften and smooth the skin.   Lemon fruit contains cleansing enzymes that remove dead skin cells, leaving your skin smoother and fresher. With its excellent astringent properties, lemon is a great natural cleanser for people who have oily skin.
To lighten dark spots and acne marks, you can use fresh squeezed lemon juice and apply it to your entire face and neck. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse it off with lukewarm water. You can do this daily or several times a week.
For soft, smooth skin, mix lemon juice from half a lemon and one egg white. Apply it to your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Repeat once or twice a week.

4.Tomatoes
Fresh tomato is an excellent natural skin toner. It can also help treat pimples and blemishes.
To make your skin soft and smooth, puree some fresh tomatoes in a blender or grinder. Apply the tomato paste to your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes and then wash it off with water. Doing this daily can help shrink enlarged pores and give you smoother, healthy skin. You can also use tomato paste to heal pimples. Apply it to the affected area and leave it on for an hour, then rinse it off. You should also take a lot of tomatoes as it helps the hydration.

5.Honey
As we should all have known honey is another natural ingredient that helps treat variety of infections, it can also be used to get smooth and healthy skin.
Apply raw honey to your face and neck, leave it on for about 10minutes and then rinse it off withcold water. This simple remedy will make your skin soft and smooth. Another option is to mix an egg white with honey and apply it to your face for 20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water and a delicate soap to remove the smell from the egg white. You can also make a thick paste with three teaspoons of honey and one-half teaspoon of cinnamon powder. Apply it to your face and leave it on overnight. In the morning, wash it off with lukewarm water.
